Pastoral Advisory Council News St.Max Parish Plan Meeting
The 2007 / 2008 team of PAC members have been diligently working on your behalf to understand the community needs of our Parishioners and to find ways and means to help implement them to at St.Max.
Last Sunday, (Nov 11) some thirty-five members of our Parish Community gave up their Sunday afternoon to represent their ministries at the first Ministry Leader's Parish Plan meeting in O'Reilly called by Fr. O'Dwyer and hosted by PAC.
The meeting began with a great spread of sandwiches, salads, fruit and cheese platters and soft drinks. This was followed by working sessions, which enabled each representative to provide their ideas, responses and views for consideration and discussion among other participants. The focus of the meeting was to determine the needs, wants, and desires of our parish community.
Much valuable insights from dedicated and knowledgeable Parishioners was collected which will be compiled and sorted before being put together in a written report for further evaluation.
Subsequent meetings will take place in the near future to gather data and disseminate information to various groups. This information exchange will form the basis for creating the five-year Parish Plan. This plan is being developed St.Max under the leadership of the Pastoral Advisory Council in collaboration with all ministries and inputs from our Parishioners. We thank all ministry representatives for participating in this important event.
