Finance Ministry – Collection Counters
The collection Counters Ministry performs an essential role in preparing the bank deposit of the weekly collections. There are five teams consisting of four to five members including the team leader, therefore each team meets every fifth Sunday at 11:30 am for 60-90 minutes. Cash and checks are sorted and recorded by donation type. Checks are endorsement stamped and totaled along with the cash to prepare a bank deposit. The envelopes are saved for data entry later in the week to record your donations for tax purposes.
The Collection Counters Ministry is very rewarding as you are performing a service that is an important part of the church operations. Time commitment is minimal but must be consistent along with manual dexterity and accuracy. Several of the teams have husband and wife couples the enjoy sharing a ministry.
